JEFF SCHRAG FOR MAYOR
__________
Springfield has been wonderful to me and my wife Mary Helen. It has been wonderful to our entire family. Springfield is a great place to live, work and play and we all want to ensure that it remains that way. So that 25 or 30 years from now our grandchildren will see abundant opportunity right here in their hometown of Springfield, Missouri.
We ensure a growing, vibrant community for the next generation when we work together and focus our city government around the simple concept of Livability. The key elements of which are: Public Safety, Solid Infrastructure, Quality Jobs, Efficiency, and Transparency.
That will be my priority as your next Mayor: Livability.
To keep livability top of mind we lean in on the abundant opportunities in our region: education, health care, outdoor recreation and the solemn pride we feel from being rewarded for hard work which often kindles the entrepreneurial spirit.
Whenever possible we must promote smart positive partnerships; sound business practices; abundant quality jobs; and local control of our assets.
Together, we have to start thinking about Springfield as one part of a metropolitan area instead of a city alone. We are a metro area that shares amenities and the labor pool. The smartest path for sustainable growth is to grow along with those around us.
Livability requires jobs and jobs require people. All people.
Together we can ensure that Springfield, Missouri remains a place where people want to live, entrepreneurs want to invest and companies want to do business and create quality jobs.
We sincerely thank out-going Mayor Ken McClure for his tireless work as a champion for our city during the last eight years and as a champion for the State of Missouri during his career of public service.
I’m Jeff Schrag and I ask for your vote for Mayor on April 8, 2025.
